Help with broken slide

We have a 2013 Coachmen Encounter 36BH and are traveling in Jupiter, Fl.The cable on our slide (lower left side) when looking at it from the inside is loose. It's not just loose but probably not connected since you can move a foot or more of it around between the wall and slide. We have called 3 mobile repair numbers and not one of them has returned our call. David is pretty handy, but we cannot figure out how to even get to the area to look at the situation. The slide is a full wall slide moving the bunkhouse and bedroom and there is wide wood moulding around the entire slide. Can anyone shed any light on how to get to this area to look at it? The other 3 cable seem to be intact. Thank you.

YouTube has some pretty good instructional videos on how these things work and how to replace broken cables. I expect if you have that much play in the cable, it has detached from one of the anchor points on the slide, not broken.
Look carefully at the wall of the slide where it comes in contact with the wall when extended. They cover those thing pretty effectively with trim over framework wit the motors and chains hidden behind the trim pieces.

Thank you Doug. We are trying to remove the wood panels now. If we could manually pull in the slide for travel we could get it to a shop. Thanks for the link.

There are actually 8 cables. The reason no Tech has called you back is MOST Mobile Techs have no clue how this system operates or how to fix it. Read this link and you will see what is involved. You do have to remove the overhead wood access panels to get to the motor and cable connections at the top. Once a cable breaks, depending on how frayed it is can be a pain(LABOR cost), to remove it and install a new cable. I usually tell a customer a minimum of 4 hours sight unseen when working on a Accuslide cable system. Until I get into the system and remove access wood panels, it can be more than 4 hours. Doug
