hitting bottom

I have a 2013 Born Free 24'. I love it except when I go up my driveway...I hit the bottom in the back. I have rollers and, with Born Free's ok, I had CW move them towards the back about 2-3"...still didn't work. The angle of my driveway from the road is about 25%. I am on a country road so I am very limited on going up/down at an angle. I was thinking about putting some 2x12's and plywood across between the road and my driveway...but what a pain to do that everytime! A friend suggested air bags. What are you opinions?? Thanks!

Marsha's Born Free's a female Class C. As mentioned, it's one thing to raise the rear of a tow vehicle. On a Coach, permanently raising one end causes leveling problems once at the campsite. We had a 24-ft C that was sagging low and raised the rear with what was essentially helper springs. Then we were a couple inches above level in the rear so we knew we'd have to raise the front to be level on a level site. If airbags will really provide 2" of lift at the AXLE, that'll be a little more out at the very back of the coach. Might be enough. Might help keep it from jouncing down when the wheels meet the dip at the base of the driveway, too. Bigger rollers and rollers farther back are a mixed blessing. The coach is protected, but it actually gets its clearance reduced.

We had concerns about our recently purchased TT's low slung body. We are originally from ID and are prone to going off on logging roads etc. So, we had the axles flipped and we are now good to go!

Had the same issue....I put Firestone air bags in the rear and it gave me 2".......Was enough to stop the dragging.........I just pump them up (got the air comp) to 100 psi and drop them back down after the driveway.......

Expensive for 2" but worth it to solve the issue......

Is the frame scraping behind the rollers? Why not move them all the way back?

Airbags would raise your truck and lower the rear of trailer. Maybe a different hitch to go in and out of driveway would be good?

Do you have a weight distribution hitch that you can take the tension off before you hit the driveway? It may help nose down the front just enough. You could look into having the trailer lifted as well. We did an axle flip to a friends 26 foot Cherokee and that solved his dragging butt problem but then we had to change out the entry steps from a single step to a two step.
