House Versus Rig kWh

My 2-month bill just arrived. It cost me a whole $9.93 U.S. Meaning around $5.00 month.

The daily average was 2.34 kWh day. Divided by 13 volts = 180 amp hours daily.

Not meaning this to become a ------- contest I am curious how this compares to larger solar system off-grid rigs? I used neither a space heater or A/C. Gas stove, compressor 16 CF refrigerator, and 1,100 watt microwave, toaster, crock pot, griddle, and heating coil to boil water even for shower.

All the lights in the house are LED and they are not low wattage. In my work area in part of the dining room, there are LED lights to the tune of 200 plus watts. Weak eyes. A 30 watt LED reading light.

Television hurled out the back window 30+ years ago. I read.

Support charging a 31 Lifeline using a 55 WFCO.

Traded electric blanket for a Level 3 Thinsulate comforter.

Housekeeper does the laundry at her place.

Where do you fit in. Weekenders may not have the same habits as boondockers.

And of course information is valid only if it is measured with an amp hour meter. Amp hour numbers are acceptable.

Thanks. BTW the basic cost 150 kWh here is 5.9 cents (US) per kWh.

Estimado Sr Mex:
75 KWH/month without A/C, with stove propane, heat propane and only water electrical - is pretty normal for a small apartment dweller. Which most Americans and Canadians are not - they will be, it's a matter of time, but at the moment they are not. Huge 36ft rig with slides is mere 300 sq.ft, this is an equivalent of a studio apartment, so I wouldn't be surprised to see similar numbers for a single person.

Add electric range - KWH will double.
Increase the number of rooms, and it goes up.
Sedentary life, sat TV 10 hours a day, MW running popcorn for hours - goes up again.
Add another person - it goes up again.
Some of these things are by choice, some other are your karma ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didn't even touch electric heating and A/C yet. Alright, we agreed to avoid a "contest". Just wanted to provide some fill to those numbers.

Remember bills are for TWO months 75-kWh per month. Try THAT at home when not on vacation. It's not easy. Unless of course a person is surrounded by road apples drinks cowbow coffee and gnaws on flatbread smothered in beans ans salt pork.

My 500W doesn't qualify as large - these days - and in KWH it comes to 0.6 KWH daily. I'm not using microwave. Don't carry other 120V kitchen appliances like toaster or crock pot since don't use them at home either (for the sake of honesty, electric range at home TAD eliminates the crock). Water/heat/fridge are propane.

Don't feel like watching TV shows when I'm out there - they seem too stupid and irrelevant to surroundings. It takes time getting used to TV again, upon return. Talked to other people - many experienced the same, with TV.

I guess the higher numbers (than yours) would reflect a different family composition and the fact that people use what is available.

Doesn't Mexican CFE charge minimum monthly fee ~$3 US on top of any meter readings?
