Unless the battery electrolyte has been modified for tropical operation I believe your specific gravity OEM is 1.275 - 1.285. Probably the latter.
For load testing draw a series pair using 400 amperes for a full thirty seconds. The voltage must not drop below 9.6 volts at 30 seconds.
Watch the voltage after the draw has been removed. It must not rise ever so slowly back to 12 volts. And if the needle latches to say 10 volts the plates have touched each other (expansion) which is a hint of a not so long life ahead. Remember there are separators to prevent a full grade short circuit.
It's tough to beat a T-105 for easy recharging, resistance to sulfation, reversion from sulfation and long lifespan.
And of course there is the Rolls & Surrette. The epitome of a well made wet cell battery.
I can't even estimate the number of cruising sailboat GC batteries that were hauled shore, taken to my chargers, submitted to a 15-20 hours rversion, rowed back out only to become sulfated in a 10 day period. All of them were less than 2 years old, none of them were T-105
It does make a person decidedly biased :)
