I don't know where these RV mfrs find refrigerators that can't be turned off.
Our Haier refrigerator came from Lowes and has no "Off" position. The manual only refers to disconnecting the plug to turn it off. We do have a dedicated breaker though.
This is from the Haier manual Try it and see if the refer shuts OFF. Not just the controls, but the refer cooling. Then post the results. Doug
NOTE: To put the refrigerator control in the OFF position,
simultaneously touch the words Freezer and Fridge for 3
seconds. Power to the refrigerator cannot be disconnected
by any setting on the control panel
And how would you suggest I do that on a model HA10TG31 that only has a single rotary temperature control in the fridge section and a rotary air flow control in the freezer section? Not a digital display or control anywhere. Turning the temp control all the way to "Cold" from "Colder" does not turn off the compressor, it just runs less to raise the temp in the box.
And yes, I have read the manual...

Nothing is truly "shut off" anymore.

It must be too expensive to put circuitry in them to be "off." I have a Walmart special cheap rice cooker that has no on/off switch either. You plug it in, it's on.

It is AMAZING how much info you can get if you just READ the appliance owners manual.
