How To Clean This

Well darn, I used Geocel ProFlex RV to caulk the switch plate and immediately realized I'll have a heck of a time getting it back off if I ever need to.

What should I be using to caulk? I don't think I need something this strong.

The vent is right above the battery compartment with a hose connecting the two. I don't see any reason to move it

Well your vent is also poorly placed, low and to the outside. Mine are higher and more towards center. They are over the door to the front compartment.

Plastic razor blade or sharpen the edge of a credit card. No need for fancy removers mineral spirits works great on everything but silicone.

They will if your not carefull(I know). Use soapy water when scraping.

Most auto part stores carry plastic razor blades. They will not scratch the fiberglass.

Xylene to remove residue after cutting the bulk off with a plastic razor blade. Heat gun will make it all easier

Use a piece of dental floss. Pull it back and forth and it will cut like a blade but damage nothing. Works great for those stick on dealer ads.

Plastic razor blades on Amazon. Goof off with a terry cloth. Story, (true) went to mY local Lowe’s, had two workers standing around, one old one new. Asked where I could find the goof off, young fellow looked at me real hard. Older fellow had to explain what I wanted.
