How to Fix a Grey Line Leak

I had a leak in my grey water line because winter got a bit of a jump on me last year and I thought the line had some antifreeze and soap in it and wouldn't freeze. It was a hairline crack in the pipe about 3 inches long. Cutting the pipe out and replacing it in my TC would have been a major project so I started looking into ways to fix it in place.

I used the method described and then demonstrated in the following two videos. I was barely able to reach the crack but I managed to repair it using just tape, a vacuum, PVC primer and PVC cement. I hope someone finds this helpful. It saved me a lot of time and money.

JB fixes every thing, kind of like Duct Tape.
You're closer to right than you think. I foolishly broke one of the mounting posts for a motorcycle carb float. I JB Welded the post back together, and it was still holding when I pulled it apart three years later. Even after spending 3 years soaking in gasoline. Good stuff.
  • We had a similar issue and used a bit of fiberglass and marine epoxy wrapped around it (already had the materials).

Sold the RV 8yrs later and it was still holding fine.
  • I would not have the nerve to out my name on that kid of repair.

  • Do you realize your first vid is just someone making a mask and has nothing to do with your post?
