How to remove omnidirectional antenna

Trying to make room for a solar panel. Don't really want to break it off since I'm sure there is a way to remove the plastic dish from the metal post. Any help?

Should be some screws on the underside of the antenna. Ours came apart in two pieces and there was a collar to remove to get the antenna off the shaft. But YA(ntenna)MV.

Didn't want to have to remove the metal post. It isn't really necessary to fit the panel, but I think I will remove it now. I'll have that much more room.

I just figured the less I have to deal with, the better.

Thanks

I just took mine off. 4 screws, tape and stuff the wires back in the hole then cover with eternabond tape then dicore. I thought about putting a piece of metal over the hole but didn't bother. Once a panel is over it, eternabond is plenty IMO.

Many have a set screw under the dish, in the area where the dish contacts the stem. It is not visible in the picture though?
