See the two uhf dipoles
Except for height above the RV, I fail to see where the Sensar has a significance advantage over the technical specs of Rayzar regarding uhf reception
Yes the vhf elements on the Sensar are longer and higher above the RV along with the 'wingman' UHF dipoles
But I doubt the wingman is any more UHF sensitive or the amplifier any better
Why would Winegard bring out a more expensive antenna with lesser technical ability
The only thing the Sensar has is extra height, and longer vhf elements
And yes height makes a difference, depending on distance and location of the transmitter and local terrain
And yes it costs less
Some people don't mind sacrificing a little bit of performance gain
For the simplicity and ease of use that a functional automatic antenna brings
Look at all the members who use a carryout sat dish, instead of a fixed tripod system that they have to manually aim
I don't think anyone will argue the carry outs, have a better signal
But they do have enough signal to do the job most of the time
And I think the same is true of the Automatic Rayzar
The Sensar IV will out preform it in the worst case conditions
But it will work for most users most of the time
