Hydro Flame 8500-11 Furance problem

Question

Just had to shut the furnace down. It is blowing real hot. The air is so hot that it melted my register vents. &amp; is so hot, you can not keep your hand on them. I read that it is supposed to shut down at 180 degrees, but I don't think it is. Could this be a bad Limit Switch ? Or something else ? Thanks

Yes, the Hi limit switch is stuck CLOSED and is not letting the furnace burner do its normal cycle on and off. Replace the Limit. BTW, I have never seen a furnace limit stick ON in 35 years of repairing RV's.  Is it possible someone has bypassed the hi limit and that is why it stays on? Doug

YES the 'high limit' switch should kill all power to furnace should temps go over 190*FPart # 37022Limit Switch L190°

I don't think that it has been bypassed. I have had this 5th for 6 years &amp; the furance has always worked fine.Think I better call in a tech to see what the problem is.
