Ya. I do that. - Shot-N-AzExplorerAlternately, you could also let your icemaker run a couple of cycles with antifreeze in the lines. That's what I do. When I see pink ice cubes, I know I'm good.
- Captain_HappyExplorerYou don't have to winterize the Ice Maker itself, because it's already in the freezer. Winterize just the water lines to the soldniod valve in the outside refer conpartment. And disconnect the line from the ice maker to the soldniod valve. and remove the soldniod valve because it's had water in it. Put it back on in the spring.
- WoodGlueExplorerYou don't "winterize it" per se, do what the first guy in the thread said. Blow out the line and leave it disconnected. Don't forget to reconnect it though, come spring time!
WoodGlue - dbblsExplorerThe owners manual for the fridge, as well as on the manufactures internet site, have complete and detailed instructions for doing this.
- WyoTravelerExplorerOpen rear fridge access. disconnect water line to ce maker. Blow out the line at RV water input with air compressor. I leave the valve open an disconnected.
