First, I have never used my Champ in a campground but have used it quite a bit on the road. My previous fifth wheel had the shore power cord near the back of the trailer so I made a rack to put on the rear bumper and reinforced the bumper. When on the road, the cord was secured to the underside of the trailer and the whole setup worked great. My current trailer has the power cord near the front so I carry the genny in the truck, securing the cord to the underside and up through the open area where the propane tanks are. This system has worked great for me also.
