Inverter remote question

I have a TT that came with a xantrex. Freedom x sinewave 1200 inverter model 806-1212. It has a port for a remote cable. I know it needed to be mounted close to batteries but in the middle of the front storage compartment requires me to basically crawl into compartment to access it and or read display. Anyone added a remote to make it easier to use?

    I would absolutely source a remote panel to turn on/off and monitor your inverter. Not very practical going into a compartment to check on it.

    I mounted my inverter closest to the street side front pass through compartment door where it's easy to see the display. That said, there's not much to see ... I just turn the inverter on with the remote I mounted in one of the clothes cabinets beside the bed, little need for me to see the display.
