Is my converter fried? (TEAR DOWN NOTE)
RV won't run the slides out etc. even when plugged into shore power. I have confirmed shore power (my house) is good as microwave in the RV will work. I do not have an RV battery installed as they are still in storage in my house on a maintainer.
Using a digital voltmeter, and touching the terminals that would connect to a battery if there was one there was 10 to 11 volts. Terminals are not shorted in the battery compartment.
I installed an RV battery that measured 12.8V and is new, and when I connect the terminals in the RV to the battery, I still get 12.7 - 12.6V. I would expect 13.2V when plugged into shore power.
Converter is a WFCO-8900 series.
Thanks.
