- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerSo it's a remote. A wired remote.
In the same category as this "pendant". Also could be deemed as a "controller". Love the image of the little wizard on the hand held device. - pnicholsExplorer IIHere ya go, Mex ... all the pendants one could ever desire. None of them for adorning your neck and nary a one with rubies in it:

It's because of them I did it myself::If you cannot explain it simply you do not know it well enough

AFAIK, Mr Wiz has been fired as our Mod or else he fled to another forum, while still posting here as a civilian. Our actual Mods for this forum remain silent, but hang like the Sword of Damocales over our pointy little heads. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerde PENDANT on a person's point of view.
When I first saw the word used here, I conjured up thoughts of what the inside of a Mexican 2nd class bus windshield looks like. Various saints charms, drilled cue balls, oversize dice, and garlands of plastic flowers swaying laterally in rhythm with the potholes.
But "irregardless" (boy that's another illiterate's favorite) a PENDANT is a remote. Not something that sways like a hula dancer. Thanks for the clarification.

Mex , IMO a "remote" is nailed to the wall inside the rig to show the readouts from a far away controller and maybe also has some buttons to change some settings, but a "pendant" is a dangling thing on a wire used as a "remote control" to turn the thing on/off or set some adjustable values. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerMena, if you could only have seen the Trace 2500 SB inverter.
Bulk charging 12.90 - 15.5 volts
Time at absorbsion limit 10 minutes to 10 hours
Float 12.4 - 14.6
Temperature skew adjustment. Affects ALL voltage settings.
All of it available on the REMOTE mounted panel and on the inverter.
Like the CRUISING EQUIPMENT COMPANY 3-stage alternator voltage regulator (marine). Same philosophy. But a CONSTANT AMPERAGE equalization control, 2 - 30 adjustable amperes to 16.0 volts.
These products were absolutely devoid of malarkey. No buzzwords, no phony claims. I liked the one voltage regulator manufacturer who made a "Circumnavigation" grade voltage regulator. Used a 30 amp 100 volt NPN transistor. 5 ampere stitching transistor. Discrete zener, and precision resistors. The reg was not cheap. Came with bags of sealed do-it yourself replacement parts. The company's motto: "It's going to fail sooner or later - so why make it hard to fix?" Most every one made it round the world without incident. Sealed in a gasketed black anodized aluminum housing. The circuit board was a dream to work on. This was American know-how at it's best.
So was the old WINCO cast iron 32 volt wind generators. Ball bearings sealed in oil reservoirs, intelligent TRIPLE WYE stator windings. Three 21 gauge paralleled wires have A HELL OF A LOT MORE heat dissipation than a single 16.75 gauge conductor.
This is 1930's technology.
It created enormously less landfill issues than today's garbage disposable mentality. Use it. When it stops, drop it on the sidewalk and keep walking. - mena661ExplorerCan the pendant change the voltage to 14.7? Or 15.5? Or 12.9? Some of us desire MORE control than predetermined settings. Those voltages you listed would not work at all for me.

Push a button and it changes the charge voltage. I still don't think 14.4V bulk charge rate is enough dry camping, per the Progressive Dynamics folks. Fine for the pedestal folks, but I am not one of them.
