Does anybody have one of these? Do you like it? Does it run your microwave ok?

I don't know anything about the inverter but the related transfer switch looks excellent for splicing into a single circuit.

KISAE TS20A 20A Automatic Transfer Switch

I like it better than the 15a Prowatt for the higher rating and having terminals vs the cords.

Otherwise <3% is as good or better than most inverters.
GoPower brand that I recommend has same spec at <3% THD.
Hmmm. Like this one too.

Seems very convenient, but 80 ms seems rather slow...

5% THD is awful. Did not say not to buy the unit, just that 3% is a lot of waveform flex.

Wonder how they establish their test values?

Unloaded?

Resistive Load?

Inductive load?

Full load?

Percentage load?

No load?

One company might be testing one way the second, another.

But there should be ZERO waveform distortion unloaded if the unit is intended for use with inductive loads like a microwave oven.

<3% THD is not impressive in my book. Compare THD value to that of top PSW inverter brands. With inductive reactive loads such as a microwave THD limits are important.

Incredibly low THD is why I chose a KATO brand AC generator rather than a LIMA or Stamford.

IMHO
<3% THD is actually a very good specification
Compare it to the <4% Morningstar specs their PureSine 300 with
Guess it's not a good inverter with such a specification
Not sure what the Magnum units everyone raves about are speced at but would venture a guess it's 3 or 4% at best for THD

Yes these units are made in China but pretty much everything is now days
For <$300.00 it looks like a deal

Just took a look at the High End Magnum inverters
They spec the THD at 5%
Guess they are not any good :h
