Kitchen faucet water line connection
I'm wondering if anyone would have some insight into a fix. Kitchen faucet started leaking from the nozzle end likely because it got a hard freeze over the winter. This is in an Arctic Fox 1150 truck camper. Faucet is a "DEHCO" brand. Decided we were going to switch to a faucet that had a higher arc in the nozzle to make it more useable for us. We ended up with a residential style faucet with 3/8 compression female water lines coming out of it. I attempted a brass adapter - 3/8" compression to 1/2" FIP (female iron pipe) leaked on the female side. The 3/8" compression that attached to the water line seemed fine.
I tried purchasing a 1/2" MPT to 3/8 MPT (plastic connector) to connect the water lines but 3/8 MPT will not go on the 3/8 compression lead from the faucet.
I'm assuming I'm not the first genius to decide to switch out faucets so have you seen a work around? I went through this same thing when I switched out the kitchen sink faucet but was able to find a connector that worked. Any ideas or things you've seen work? At this point I may just try to find the exact same faucet so they have the same connections.
