Komfort welcome home light issue

The welcome home light stopped working on our 2012 Komfort 3130FRL,and recently the light started flickering on/off on its own.

The sensor in the door checks out ok. Disconnected it and ran a continuity check, and it toggles open/closed as the door is open/closed.
The light in the ceiling works ok (has 2 inputs; 1 for a manual switch, 1 activated/power when the door opens). There's 13.5VDC when i turn the switch on. There's 11.9VDC on the other feed wire all the time. This doesn't change when the door in open/closed.

I called Dutchmen customer service and they couldn't offer any help. I'm looking for someone that understands how the Welcome Home light is wired, is there a controller hidden somewhere? I suspect there must be a relay or controller because when it was working, the light would turn on when the door was opened, then would go out 10-15sec after it closed. That leads me to believe it is not a simple on/off relay.

Anyone have experience on this one?

:h Could this be something really simple like a light bulb with a broken element that wiggles around and connects/disconnects to make "flickering"? I had this happen. Drove me nuts until I changed the bulb.
So much to experience, so little time.
