Leak between Awning holder and RV

I have a 2006 Itaska Navion Motorhome. There is a 1 inch foam rubber seal between the awning and the foor of the RV. At one time it appears the out side edges of the foam rubber suppose to stick to the RV and awning. However, those seals are now cracked. How do I go about resealing this to stop the leak.

  • The awning is a Horizon model that lag bolts to the side of the motorhome just below the gutter. The bolts thread into aluminum structure behind the sidewall.

Here is the installation and operating instructions for it.

OP may have to remove the entire awning from the MH, clean the area, and install new foam. I am not real familiar with this as my '07 View (same MH) had the awning removed before I bought it and I never reinstalled one.

Do not understand your question. Why would the awning be attached to the floor of your RV?

I suspect roof, not floor (foor). Fingers will do that!
  • 2006. Awning has arms to hold it up. Lower arm mounts, is my guess. Time to pull the mounts off, and replace the gasket material. I wouldn't try to seal around the existing gasket material.
