Limit refrigerator door opening

My refrigerator door sometimes "slams" against the parallel cabinet door if opened too quickly, or a teenager is involved, I'm sure this isn't a good idea - I'm looking for a way to limit the opening distance without getting in the way of normal use.

oh the pain, I thought I would start with something easier, like world peace.
  • Maybe you could install a bumper or doorstop on the adjacent cabinet?

that's one the first things we've done with all of our motorhomes. we use rubber or felt pads, "bumpers", where any door opens against a wall. cheap insurance.
  • You will think I am nuts (you may be right!) cut a small slit in a tennis ball and then run a screw with washer through from the inside of the ball into whatever the door is slamming against. The ball will have some 'give' but won't bounce the door back nor dent the door.
  • One or two of these might help. They are soft, peel and stick. There is one on my bedroom closet door to protect the night stand next to bed from being hit when opening the door.
  • A couple of peel and stick felt pads on the adjacent cabinet should be sufficient.
