Picked one up for the trailer's bedroom. Only 24", but that's fine when the TV is about 5 feet away from your face. What's cool is it's smarts. Wired or wireless access to a network. It picks up my mesh node from in the house. It uses apps for NetFlix, Hulu +, YouTube, Amazon, ... Plus it has internet access for anything else. The wife likes Acorn TV, British shows. It is only available on Roku and the internet. So we're good. It has coax to connect to the trailer's cable feeds and antenna, and you can connect a keyboard and mouse via USB. I had a wireless set handy. Kind of clumsy when setting up the apps, but works great in the internet. I couldn't believe the functionality and quality name for the price.

Yea, but does it run on 12 VDC, and how much does it draw? The Samsung manual is worthless - from that one could assume it doesn't need any power at all.

With this particular model (I think) as with most Samsung's the conversion to DC is inside on the power board so no external power supply. It probably comes with a standard 120VAC cord that plugs directly into the TV. If that's the case, to operate it off of the campers 12VDC power would require opening it up and making a modification to the downstream side of the power board.

Check out a 10-amp 240 volt straight pins plug and socket. Nothing else can fit the socket and this makes a circuit dedicated. These plugs and receptacles can carry 15-amps so that's not an issue.

You have to be careful. Most circuits are fused close to what their greatest legitimate draw should be. A TV could be more than the circuit can handle. If you up the fuse to handle the addition of the TV, you lose the protection for the smaller circuit. Also, you don't know how robust the wires on the circuit are and could overload them. Not likely to happen, but it might.

Heaven forbid, I don't attack people nor make personal cracks. However humor is how I deal with life's challenges. No TV s-it com, makes me laugh harder than some of the stunts I see on "YouBoob". My granddaughters hate "The Look". It's a special facial expression I offer after they get caught doing something really -er- not in their best interest - like trying to cook a super thick pancake "to save time..."

I like the 'portable' bit. My kids are addicted to (Mexican) soap operas. I run like hell. I was surprised to see the amount of complete movies on "You Boob" marshall Dillon playing the monster in "The Thing", Clint Eastwood playing a squeaky voiced teenage lab assistant in The Revenge Of The Creature (of the black lagoon). Not too long ago I played The Crawling Eye for the girls. Brenda told me Pilar and Dalia (grandkids) stumbled off to school bleary eyed after leaving the lights on all night. DVD discs are not that hard to record and store. Record a 30 minute segment at home - traffic, crowds, then when things seem to get boring while camped a refresher segment could remind a person why they packed up and fled.

I was too busy laughing to take offense. It will be fixed to the bedroom wall. But, when available, it does have internet access. As others have noted, the WIFI will usually be subpar, and not up to streaming, but that isn't a huge concern for web surfing. The wireless keyboard and mouse are in the overhead in the bedroom, so it will be great for internet usage.

A TV is a TV but the WiFi can be used where available. The critter is portable is it not? For me, You Boob, streaming would work great for entertainment. News, how-to's, etc.
