Lock cylinder replacement

I know it would be inappropriate to post the information I need in this forum, but maybe someone can help me with a private message or something. I own a 2008 Damon Astoria with a TriMark paddle handle on the entry door. The handle broke and I'm replacing it, but the new unit doesn't come with the lock cylinder, so I need to remove the cylinder from the old handle and put it in the new one. I understand this is easy, but I can't figure it out. If you PM me to let me know you can provide the information, I could message back an email address, or you could contact me through the Contact page at NewCenturyMinistries.com.

When I have a problem like this, I carry the lock (one time a whole file cabinet) to the local locksmith shop. They do most of their work mobile, so if the clerk is there and the locksmith isn't, I have to leave it with them or wait.

Tri-Mark might help you if you call.
  • Cylinder change key

It does look like it's possible without it, but I do not have the answer. Posted is the link for the actual change key (which is probably the correct way of doing it)

    I'm guessing it's a secret because it's a little "hack" that isn't well known.
  • There is a special key that needs to be used. I don't have one for my trailer, but I've got one for the office I work in. You turn the key, and the whole cylinder comes out with it. I've seen them on any site that sells cylinders,, but they specify locksmith use only, and require credentials. That key is just as dangerous as a master key in the wrong hands
