looking for non crimped High press propane hoses

You might have a hard time finding the fittings you are seeking. Instead of buying off the shelf crimped hoses from Walmart go to a good hydraulic shop and have them make a set of hoses using the old ones as a pattern. They can make a set that will hold in excess of 4K psi which is way overkill for propane and should solve your problems.

Parker makes the LPG hose and reusable fittings which will last your lifetime. I use them, they are not cheap. They do not leak.

You need to find an Aeroquip or Eaton hose dealer. There may be others, but I have been out of that for a while. They can build a hose with reusable fittings that will not leak, and if they get old enough to need replacement, you replace only the rubber hose.

At least one of my local RV shops will make custom hoses- dunno what they use for fittings, though.

But since you want screw-together rather than crimped: why not buy the parts and make your own? Sounds like you don't even need any special tools, e.g. a "crimper".

Most hydraulic shops carry pushlock fittings and hose. These fittings have very aggressive barbs and will hold pressures up to around 300 psi and are assembled by hand. Just make sure that the hose is rated for lpg.

No special tools needed for these, a hacksaw & a couple of wrenches. I mke my own hoses.

We have a local Parker dealer here. I'll check on the fittings and hoses there. Main reason I was looking for pre assembled hoses was that I wanted to make sure they were tested when purchased or at least the hose vendors recommended end connections.

I checked with a local industrial supplier that makes hose assemblies we use in the shipyard here to see if they could make some for me. They were talking about adding extra fittings on the end to get what I wanted and the hose ends were going to be crimped. I think they were just trying to use what they had in stock instead of really trying to locate proper end fittings.

Did that, but they couldn't tell me if the hose was okay for propane. They told me to find the hose I needed and bring it to me and they would put on crimped fittings.

1. the fittings were crimped.
2. you just can't take any fitting and add it to any hose. They have to be compatible.

Soft copper will work. Make your own with either compression or flared fittings.
