have a light weight and low profile (ground clearance) trailer 28ft that it doesn't take much of a dip in the driveway to scrape the bottom of the trailer. right now there is a steel support under my dump valves that keeps them from hitting the ground.any ideas of what to put under there like a wheel or something that will lift the trailer to keep it from scraping or bottoming out.ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. WILL BE HEADING HOME TOMORROW AND WILL HAVE TO FIX THIS SOME HOW.THANKS AGAIN

A few years ago, we had a smilar probem, we put down different lengths of 2x4 to lft the trailer into the driveway till the truckwas in then i was fine, now we fixed that, bigger trailer, bigger wheels, and moved to the country

We had an 89 30' Award that was also very low. First fix it to lower the tongue on the hitch. That raised the rear a couple inches. Poor thing about that is that it increased load on the front ( torsion) axle. 15" rims and tires brought it up to acceptable clearance.

You need rear caster wheels or skid wheels. Or raise the trailer

I flipped the axels on my 20' flat bed trailer with leaf springs. Don't remember how much it raised the bed, maybe 7".

unless they have Torflex axles. can't flip them.

thats what I have the torflex and I just replaced them.

Be careful with castor wheels. Many frames aren't designed to be loaded that way. Plus I've seen them ripped off when the bottom out.

Flipping the axles is your best bet. You redo the springs so the axles sit below the springs instead of above. Gives you and extra 4-6" of clearance.
