Would this be an acceptable model: Marshall Excelsior MEGR-253H ?
Thanks again for your quick replies!
Marshall is OK. MEGR-253 (without thd H) should be all you need. It gets be by running the stove, furnace and water heater all at the same time. MEGR-253H (high flow) is probably for vending trailers.
The acme nuts on hoses for travel trailers are green which is medium flow.
Black acme nuts are low flow for BBQ grills, outdoor cookers and single appliances, etc.
Red acme nuts are high flow. There is a Papa John's here that does vending at the shipyard here in Newport News and I think it is also used at events. They have a trailer that has 6 - 30 lb cylinders on the tongue and all the acme nuts are red. I looked it over in their store parking lot. I believe it also has the Marshall high flow regulators.
Black ACME QCC nut 100,000 BTU/hr
Green ACME QCC nut 200,000 BTU/hr
Red ACME QCC nut 450,000 BTU/hr
Take ALL the LP appliance btu ratings and add them up.
(high side)
Furnace.......45000 btu/hr
Fridge....... 2200 btu/hr
Water Heater..12000 btu/hr
Stove top
1 High flow burner....9000 btu/hr
2 Medium flow burners.6500/ea ---13000 btu/hr
Total btu/hr demand IF ALL in service
81,200 btu/hr
A Cavagna Group 924 2 stage reg 160,000 btu/hr.
Twice the total demand at 100%
Cavagna!
