Lug nuts
I have a dexter axle on my 2010 Jayco 23FB. The lug nuts seem to be a special type in the area of the cone. Is anyone familuar with this? and an I change to a standard lug nut.

- Have not had any problems with ours, I check them every so often. AND, none have ever been looser than the recommended setting in the almost 3 yrs we have had the trailer. And a wheel or two has been taken off and re-torqued since new.
Our last trailer (a 2004) had standard cone nuts, and did occasionally require some or many of them to be re-torqued regularly.
Jayco shows (in an extra sheet - 4/09, not owners manual) to torque in 3 stages when installing wheel: 1-40/50, 2-95, 3-120. And shows an acceptable range of 90-120 ft/lbs. This is for the 5 lug steel 15" wheels and most others.
When I check, I check at 100. Never had any take up anymore other than a click if pushed. Yours should be ok, and I wouldn't use the older style on mine. - The lugs nuts are called Torq-N-Go from Dexter. I have found them hard to torque it seems like I am overtorqing the nut it feels like it on the verge of snapping. I have 1/2 studs and have been torqing them to 100 lbs ft. Anyone have simular concerns?
