Before you toss the old microwave, open it up and check it out. My 25 year old MW died and I was having a tough time finding a new one that would fit in the opening. I opened it up, and after replacing a fuse and a capacitor it's back to working like new. Cost about $15-$20
It's going in the big can. Never been too impressed with the Magic Chef Micros. - MSchuExplorerBefore you toss the old microwave, open it up and check it out. Hope it lasts! - LITEPHILExplorerI may have jumped the gun here. I took the Magic Chef out and it's a free standing unit and seems the front fascia has four straps that keeps the unit in place. I decided to buy a Hamilton Beach unit for $69.00 and relocate the straps on the inner fascia trim to hold it in place. A little larger gaps top and bottom but I think it will work well.
Thank you all for your help here and I guess I should have investigated a little deeper prior to posting but very good information. - bob213ExplorerDoug...So nice to see you posting regularly on the forum. Always a source of trusted information. Thank you!

You may find this link interesting on why the M/W failed and how he installed the replacement. Doug - https://goo.gl/drFYcX

The top is the replacement and the bottom is the required trim kit.
The webpage for the microwave also has the trim kit at the bottom. - Magic Chef MCG992ARB Microwave oven: https://goo.gl/drFYcX
