Mixing wireless camera systems

I currently have a Furion backup camera and the 4.3 inch monitor on my TT. I'm happy with it as a backup camera, but the short range makes it useless for rear view while on the road. I'm considering upgrading to a three camera Furion 7" system to get the side view but possibly also putting in the Haloview RD10 Rear View Mirror/Dashcam to get both the rear view look as well as a dashcam. Both systems operate at 2.4 ghz. If the Furion system would give me the rear view that I'm looking for while driving I'd stop there and just get a front facing dash cam (had a near miss recently when someone decided to stop half in the lane on I275 in St Petersburg - with trucks passing I stood on the brakes, almost lost control, and ended up missing the stopped car by maybe 6 inches). Has anyone tried something like this? I'm not wedded to Furion but I'm not finding a system that does everything I'm looking for, especially at a reasonable price point. I spent $20k on the TT, so I don't want to go crazy on this, but after the near miss I want more visibility for lane changes on the road. Thanks!

  • Thanks, Doug! My TT is only 26' so the existing Furion camera has been ok. My concern is trying to get a better rear view without sacrificing the backup view which has worked well for me.
