That's the number that got me to the tech' I've already spoken with... the one who wasn't able to explain what the adjustment screw does :(
Nope, it is not the fill port... that's the silver cap just behind and to the left of the component in question.

Well, as far as I can tell it is not a "regulator", but I do think that it somehow sets the
volume of the liquid refrigerant present in the evaporator (this is very important in small volume cap'-tube refrigeration systems).
So I am still left wondering
eaxctly what this adjuster does. How do I know when it is precisely adjusted... or not? Surely somebody here must know?
BTW, I do think that my fridge is working correctly at the moment... nothing is broken. I just want to know what the doohickey does.
