A little off topic (sorry) but make sure you get a rig with a decent battery compartment. I've seen some where the batteries were literally afterthoughts. It's like they were getting ready to ship it out and had an "OS" moment.

20 db at 3.3 km's? Like LED wattage and lumens, I gotta see it myself up close and in person to believe numbers. Believe this from the chool of hard knocks, a single isolated burp from an otherwise quiet generator may tick off a neighbor.

MrWizzard, that will be somewhat better than the Energy Storm, electric start 2800 max, 2600 output. The pricing will be the determinator for some.

The second is run time. I fill the gas tank, and will get about eight hours of A/C time, or if just sitting on eco throttle and pushing the converter, about 15-20 hours, good enough for a weekend.

Honda 3000 has a 30a receptacle but will only output 23a, as another example. It is just a convenience thing where a 20a receptacle would be too small.

50A rigs with an EMS/load shedding would be limited to 30A unless the gen combo produces 240/120.
