Need vise grips to hold 1/4" thick handles. I use my knives every day. Compared to German knives, Japanese knives are very dificult to sharpen. So are genuine Katana swords. I thought Ron Popiel exited stage left from those hokey gimmick TV spots long before 2005.
A product that costs multiple times the expense of a proven competitor needs to live up to its claims. I know of no Concorde battery that will achieve specification cycles at specified Depth of Discharge. To parrot OEM claims is foolish. They would need almost EIGHT and 1/4 years of fully allowed charge and discharge every day to meet this claim. Or is it a claim justified by discharging to 80% of capacity?
The last time I was suckered was a purchase of AAA, AA and 9 volt batteries. This chemistry is clearly superior to nickel metal hydride and alkaline when it comes to standby lifespan but clearly not superior in any regard when it comes to equivalent load lifespan compared to NiMH or alkaline. I don't guess. I test with precision load and bench meters.
This is why my favorite car battery brand comes from Costco. If I decide I don't like its looks, back it goes. Much easier than arguing with a zit faced teenager at Wal*Mart who knows everything about anything.
When this full page lithium battery advertisement found me in China answering banal questions then handed over to someone with a private Yahoo email visions of stonewalling at a warranty claim at week 1 of service ran through my head.
To me, even a reputable USA lithium battery has one clear advantage: The ability to survive life at partial discharge. The reliance on an amp hour meter and averaged amp hour draw to guess if, yes or no, the battery will survive another night's heat blower drawdown, is not an advantage. At 800 dollars apiece the thought of buying one for now and a second for spare capacity is not enticing. This is a specialty toy of the wealthy. Their lifespan as compared to a well taken care of Concorde Lifeline is yet to be proven with hard numbers.
The philosophy of miracles is long on word count and mighty short in function. I've no doubt the final score evaluation with existing lithium examples will come up short when it comes to cycle lifespan versus total kWh for the money. There has been insufficient time and examples available to fuel an adequate verdict.
Due to too much saturation of Shell gasoline with TCP, STP the racer's edge, The teflon and chlorine oil additives, the JC PENNEY forever battery, absurd tire claims, carbon in the battery, oil in the battery.. the gizmo claims are never ending.
Time testing will separate hyperbole from reality. Two thousand full cycles equals many many years of boondocking. And virtually forever solar charging life where daily recharging starts off with 70% charged rate. Expecting active monitoring and control circuits to endure 5 years of activity is asking the moon. I build electronic power control circuits and even using cost and size is no concern attitude 5 years is asking a lot.
The problem is I won't be around in 5 years to see it. If money is no object then this is a capitalist society. But please refrain from singing unproven rhymes of praise for an unproven product

One thing about graphene, such as for a bulletproof vest. It may prevent entry of a bullet, but it does nothing to dissipate energy. A .44 mag round impact anywhere near the heart will induce cardiac infarction unless scientifically designed padding spreads the energy over a wide area. Very useful is the study of the US Navy and torpedo protection...the best way to prevent torpedo damage was to clad the hull with water filled blisters with relief valves. A solid hit on a battleship's armored belt prevented penetration but the shock transmitted caused propeller shaft misalignment, broken electrical components, and dozens of hatch closure failures.
