We just set up camp and I found the was no power at the microwave or neighboring outlets. I found the GFI outlet tripped in the bedroom, so I reset it. I regained power to the neighboring outlets, but still no power to the microwave. None of the house breakers were tripped but I reset them anyway, as well as the beaker at the pedestal...all to no avail. I only have one other GFI outlet in the bathroom, but resetting it did nothing. The power plug to the microwave is behind the microwave itself, so it is not easily accessible. Any suggestions?Craig

On mine, there is a dedicated breaker on the inverter that controls the micro. There is a second breaker there that controls half of the receptacles.

On my 2004 southwind there is a switch, looks like an ordinary house switch that one way lets you use the electric water heater and switched the other way, allows you to use the Microwave. You can not use both at the same time. The switch is on the panel right next to the water heater switch near the kitchen sink. Do you perhaps have that same switch? And is it in the wrong position? Just a thought. Your MH is a Fleetwood isn't it?

That's odd. Are you on 30 or 50 amps? Wondering if it could be an energy management system issue. If on 30, I might try cycling power at the pedestal to "reboot" the EMS.

or, if on 50 amp, maybe one leg of the pedestal is dead.

Also, the MW will sometimes need to be reset. It will be acting just like what you had now. You will need to unplug it for a minute or so. Plug it back in, and it should be reset. I've had to do this a couple of times.

Thanks so much for the tip. I found a hidden/removable inspection panel behind a spice rack above the MW. This gave me access to the MW electrical outlet. Just as you suggested, the MW electrical cord had jiggled loose. I plugged it back in and all is well. Thanks!

My neighbor has a Jayco MH. It went dead on a recent trip. They even looked at new MW's to replace it. When they got home they asked if I would change it. Thankfully they had not bought a new one yet. The plug had jiggled out. You say you cant unplug it because it is behind the mw. Is it still plugged in?

I just called Fleetwood, and they told me there is fuse panel with a 20A fuse marked "Galley", next to the breaker panel. The rep told me the micro is routed through this fuse. I saw these fuses, but since they are automotive type, I didn't think they would supply power to anything that is AC. I found the fuse and unplugged it. It was not blown. When I plugged it back it, it sparked a little, indicating that it does indeed have power. At this point, I'm going to have to assume I have a dead microwave.

We have 50A power. I have power to everything else in the coach.

Unplugging the micro isn't an option, as the receptacle is built in behind the unit and I really don't want to disassemble the thing. We're only here for a few days so I'll run it over to my repair guy when we get home. As I said in my OP, all of the other outlets are now working, so I'm thinking the micro itself may be dead.

I'd run the extension cord all the way to the pedestal, so's you don't accidently blow a breaker on the RV. Plus, if the MW is bad, you won't short something and start a fire?

Unplug the MW from its receptacle and plug it into an extension cord to a known to be good receptacle to confirm it is not the MW itself that isn't working. ISTR some MWs have a fuse inside somewhere that can be replaced if blown.
