On the eastern shore of Virginia for a month. No having problems. Everything checks out unit running on gas, idiot lights are on. The refrigeratorIs still not getting cold. Even put in one of those little fans. No help. Any Ideas? It’s a 2016 Norcold.

whens last time burner was cleane?? how hot is it outside? is the sun facing the frig? these units don,t work very well in hi heat.

Any type of discoloration in the outside access?I agree as to when was last time stack was cleaned? When was burner cleaned?Norcold model number?

If there is any greenish yellow stain its toast.

Are the external fans working? Our stopped and we couldn't keep the frig cold. Had morning sun and it was hot. We didn't have awning out because of wind. Hubby installed computer fan to blow up in outside compartment, we pulled our awning for shade and frig is now running at 34 degrees. Made about a 10 degree difference. Check fans to see if working.

Just how long has fridge been ON?Is RV level?What does flame look like.....Strong steady BLUE and just reaching up inside of flue opening ---centered?Does it run on AC?What model of Norcold?

1. WHY not on 120? Boondocking?
2. A BAD cooling unit, the freezer will appear to be working. But that is subjective to uninformed. WHAT is the freezer temp? IT MUST BE BELOW 10 degrees. So, freezing is 32 degrees. That gives you an error of more than 22 degrees to determine the "freezer does seem to be working".
3. Flame is not a good way to determine BTU capacity of the heat. LP pressure test is the ONLY way. It must be 11.5 inches water column. Just 1 inch drop(10 inches) the flame will still look good but will cause a drastic performance problem in cooling.
4. Is this refer mounted in a slide out? If so, you may have a rear ventilation problem. Doug

Moving thermistor on a Norcold N81 is NOT a cure ....nor will it make much of a change in temps.
Moving thermistor Up/Down will affect temps when fridge does NOT have adjustable temp settings..Auto Temp Controls

Once again I ask......what does flame look like?
Does the electric heater element work.....get hot?

How long have you had fridge ON?
Are you getting any fault codes.....light flashing etc?

Yes to all check everything moved the transistor to the top of the fins and still nothing. But the freezer does seem to be working

Norcold OEM fans originally were mid position center line jus above absorber tubes....pull air in lower vent up thru absorber tubes then push air up across condenser fins and then out upper vent

Now Norcold is installing them up higher so they are accessible w/o having to pull fridge

Fans down low near lower vent try to push air which is less 'directed' then by pulling air UP
Although anything to enhance draft is GOOD

HEY OLD biscuit got a question? I all ways though the fan was suppose to be at the top,pulling air from the bottom.
