Onan 4.0 MicroQuiet Fuel Filter Replacement

Hello all, the fuel filter on these is next to impossible to do.

Has anyone considered remounting the fuel pump outside of the generator box to make the fuel filter easily accessible?

See this old thread for a description of how I replaced the filter on mine. Definitely not impossible to do, unless Onan has since changed the filter location.
