fred42, I also have the stupid Onan Marque 7000 that I installed new in our fiver in 2004. Of course it had the notorious gas drip at the filter below the carb after some use. Saw on a forum that Onan had brought out a solid piece to replace the leaking fuel filter. Got the part number than stopped by a "certified Onan service" joint. They had the replacement part hanging on their display boards, picked one up and took it to the checkout counter. The guy tried in the worst way to talk me out of that purchase and replace with another potential leaky POS. Said "we never install that replacement part". Needless to say I was out the door with the replacement part and have had no drips since. As far as a recall, never saw or heard of one and I bought the genny from Rocky Mountain Onan so it was traceable. Other Onan problems, yes.
