One tool I have found useful and not just in the RV is the Cable Tracker from harbor Freight (About 25 dollars give or take a bit) This is a two part device one part is a Transmitter.. You put fresh batteries in it and hook it to a wire (NOT UNDER POWER) and you are supposed to ground the other clip but I never have.. Then you take the receiver/sniffer also with a fresh battery and bleedle bleedle your way along the wire hidden inside windows and such Eventually you get to the end of the wire.. IF you start at say a lamp. or an outlet. the two ends .. Well one will be a "Device" (lamp, outlet, fan, pump, box of electronics) but the other end will be... The power distribution center
For example I needed to find a slide out controller.... Looked and looked even professionals looked. No joy.. First try with the bleedle master (Cable Tracker) found it straight off.. in of course one of the most illogical locations I could imagine (But there it was)
Home was where I park it. but alas the.
