The PD goes through a Boost cycle ever 23 hours if I remember correctly but if it does not come down off of this then yes there is a problem. Do have the battery checked and if it is OK then call PD and say you need a replacement head unit. I had a problem because the manufacturer miss-wired the trailer, The common AC and DC ground were 'grounded to the frame leaving a hot frame and a fried converter. I called them Tuesday afternoon and had the replacement the next morning by FedEx (they are up in Michigan and I m in Ohio.
