Just hooked up this PD 4655L Wildkat to a friends camper to replace the WFCO 8955 and the light on the remote is blinking with no shore power. I'm assuming that it runs on DC power and not from AC power? Kinda makes sense but not sure. Nothing changes when we plug it into shore power.

100% correct. the light is a 12 volt device. in truth nothing more than a volt meter. 4 states

OFF= Houston we have a problem.. Dead battery
ON- Ok Houston we are charging the batteries
Fast blink and slow blink (One is float one is absorption forget which).

You can look it up on the web. Google "Progressive Dynamics Charge wizard manual"

Suggestion.. For most everything in the RV google the make (progressive dynamics) Model (Charge wizard or the model number) Manual

Download the PDF to ye old hard drive. Way easier to find and search than 20 pounds of owners manuals.

IF you are ever in Marshall. MI.. Nice folks there at PD. Just south of the Fountain a bit on the right.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Yep, wizard's green light does what it wants even when there is no 115vacfeeding the converter. Has greatly confused both people whom I installed the PD9245 converters for.

I've had to write that down for them, and make them repeat it,
" IGnore wizard/pendant light when there is no AC present feeding the converter"

Whatever its parasitic draw is, is likely of no consequence.

The light on my PDI 9260's Wizard lights up and flashes just like when it's plugged in even though it isn't.
I think it's normal.
