Propane Quick Connector hose to BBQ

I took my webber 100 and the quick connect hose that came with the trailer to my local BBQ shop down the street and told them I wanted a 20ft hose with same ends and with the quick connect on the webber and regulator removed. Done $80 parts and labour. Another option for those who don't want to mess with propane hose and fittings

Found this great thread tonight after pulling my hair out over hose that doesn't fit. I have the trailer listed in signature. How do I figure out which type of quick disconnect it has?

My trailer's quick disconnect is a 5LPA and not the model 250 which is now standard. Yep, low pressure but they used a 5LPA, mbsturgis set me right, they are here also

It took me about 10 minutes using the Calore parts. There are two phillips head screws that secure the regulator assembly. Unscrew those and lift out the entire regulator assembly. Take a look at Rons email or my youtube and you can see how to do it.

Could be on yours, on the Webers the regulator simply screws off and you control the flame with the knob as usual. The regulator is no longer needed as you're taking regulated gas off most trailers with the quick disconnect they come with. If taking high pressure gas unregulated off the tanks with an Extend-A-Flow kit (like I did with my old trailer) you leave the regulator on.

You're correct. The Calore website I posted in my link has everything needed. They actually made a special quick disconnect fitting for the Weber that makes it simple and fits their hose perfectly. The only other thing you need is the Watts 1/8" coupler I also posted IF you are not going to put a shutoff at the Weber itself.

Camco makes a series of hoses, with the quick disconnects.. but what I can tell you is there are small differences between manufacturers... Mr. Heater also makes disconnects, and I can tell you from experience, while they look similar, they are not compatible..

Stick with one brand, and you'll be ok...

The length of the nose of the fitting that goes into the newer coupler is slightly longer. Just enough to frustrate us.
