Removing Max Air Vent Cover

I would appreciate any advice on removing the Max Air Vent Cover on my 5th wheel. I need to remove it temporarily to get the 5th wheel underneath an RV port.
The vent cover is sitting atop a sealant or caulk like substance, possibly Dicor Lap sealant. Other than prying it loose with a putty knife are there any tricks of the trade I should be aware of?
Thank you!

I note it is connected with the 4 pins but it has been pressed into a layer of white sealant. My rig is 6-7 inches too high to move under an RV port. I think that is too much air to let out of the tires.

Remove it!
Some schmuck installed one that way on my last RV and during a storm the rain hit the roof and bounced and back up into the cover. It filled it up enough to leak through the original vent cover and damage the ceiling.

I would carefully cut it off above the dicor, reseal with dicor, then put a new vent cover on correctly with the L brackets.

yep, with NO holes drilled thru the roof of the RV. that's why they sell those little L brackets.

All my covers are held down by removable pins that came with the covers. Simple to remove if needed. Hopefully you would be able to do this after unsealing yours.

How much of a height issue do you have? Can you let some of the air out of the tires?? Then pump them up again??

Exactly right. If it is "glued" down with the dicor then you have a mess.
