I have Zepplin 271 keystone with a water leak. I think it may be coming from the roof. How is the rubber roof constructed? Does it wrap around on the sides or just stops the trim. Thanks

A CORRECTLY installed EPDM roof goes OVER the sides and down about 1 inch. NO OEM I am aware of(I have replaced hundreds of EPDM roofs) ever stops at the edge. The rubber goes underneath the front cap from the factory and over the top and down the sides and backwall about 1 inch. Usually the overlap is about 6 to 8 inches and after the top trim and awning rail is installed, they trim the EPDM even with the bottom of those side rails. That gives you that 1 to 1.5 inch overlap. Even the old Aluminum roofs overlapped. Doug

There is a plywood backing. On my trailer it is wrapped around the edges of plywood, so it goes under the roof perimeter trim, but I'm sure it doesn't go much further.

If rubber membrane looks intact, the leak can be at the cracks or openings around roof fixtures, trim, or ANY of zillions of screws and bolts.

The rubber roof is glued to a plywood base. The rubber usually stops at the trim, it doesn't go down the side of the RV.

If you can't find the leak, try a Pressure Test.

Use Eternabond for the seams and anywhere else you can use it on the roof.

Dicor Self leveling Lap Sealant can be used on horizontal surfaces.

They're both great products.
