RV Propane Regulator Question

Hopefully you can view this photo attachment. If not I also included a Link to the image below. This propane regulator is on a 2017 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup. Are the white plastic covers just
dirt/dust protection or are they a functional component such as a vent for this regulator? The reason I ask is that they have weathering cracks in them. Thank you.

  • Thank you both for the good information. Will order a replacement cover then. Thank you .

    Fixed your image link.

    Those are just covers.

Regulators aren’t incredibly reliable, so a manometer test would be worth your time. Several YouTube videos show how to make one easily and use.
  • Its a dirt and mud cover to protect the vent from getting plugged up. Its a good idea to have it on the regulator. They are cheap and you can get them on ebay and amazon.
