RV QG 4000 Onan Generator Not Starting From Remote Panel
Hi all,
I'm perplexed with my problem and not sure how to troubleshoot any further. This generator is in a Coachman 27 foot class C coach, and the remote switch no longer starts the generator, although the remote switch does stop the generator.
I verified the remote switch is operational by using a DVM, and switching the leads to have the start work when you push the switch down instead of up.
I verified the 3 remote switch wires make it inside the generator wiring harness junction.
The generator starts and runs great when started from the generator itself.
I think this is telling me it's either the control board or the solenoid, but I don't know how to troubleshoot either.
If it is the control board, then how do I remove it?
I'm assuming the solenoid hot lead is coming from the coach batteries, and I think it would be easier to disconnect from there instead of working at the solenoid.
Greatly appreciate the help.
