RV Service in Dallas TX Area

We are looking for a RV service department with a good track record for our 2007 KZ Spree TT that is needing some slide floor water damage repair. We have been using a small town dealer about 90 miles from where we live in Richardson, TX where we bought the trailer new but they appear to no longer have much of a service department.

Any recommendations backed by personal experience would be welcome.

  • An update:

Called several RV dealers/repair shops. Many had really long back logs. Blue Moon did not return my call. Of all the ones I talked to, Hill Top seemed to be a good choice but it would be 3 weeks before they could look at our trailer. They asked me where the trailer was now and I told them the name of the small town dealer where we originally purchased the trailer, they indicated that was still one of the better dealers.

Finally got a call from our dealer yesterday after it had been there 8 working days after bringing it in with a scheduled appointment. Their estimate to repair the slide floor damage was pretty reasonable so I will leave it there. Maybe we can squeeze in one more in state camping trip before winter sets in.

Thanks for the inputs. I learned about some other viable options based on this research.

  • Not sure how far you are from Red Oak Texas but Hill Top Travel Trailers only sell and work on Travel trailers, they are a family owned business that has been there since at least the early 1980's and they do good work from my experience. I have been there many times and seen whole sides of trailers taken apart, roofs etc. they do big stuff. I also had brakes shorting out a few years back and took it back to where I bought it only for them to tell me they couldn't find the problem. I took it to Hill top and they had it repaired in a couple of days and it only cost around $100 give or take but I had brakes for the first time on my brand new unit. Again they only sell and work on travel trailers.

PS oh yeah your in Richardson. Red Oak is south of I20 on I35 before you get to Waxahachie.

..........If , you call a mobile RV repair , you had better find out what they charge per hour , what their milage rate is , do you have to purchase parts through them , do they charge to drive to your residence to figure an estimate !!! This , information should be clearly spelled out , BEFORE they get off the phone . , jf

Good input as one of the rv repair services I am considering is a mobil service.

Thanks I did not know about that site. I will check it out.

I did check the site out and found it very useful in that it provided a few more candidate repair facilities to consider. Most facilities have only a few reviews however but still good info.
