We are looking for a campground close to Dallas, TX. Not finding anything to great. Any recommendations. Thanks.
my choices would be to the north of D..the Vineyards in Grapevine and to the west would be Cowtown in Aledo
Chuck - Tom_TrostelExplorerCedar Hill State Park is nice and located in Dallas County. The DFW area very large so it would help if we knew what part you need to be near. The Vineyards is very nice but pricey and not in Dallas County. In fact, none of the above campgrounds is in Dallas County.
Cedar Hill SP - ngreenExplorerWhile DH worked in the area we stayed at Lafons Rv park south of Princeton and east of McKinney. Nice clean park. I liked it because I could go several places without using highways. Fyi, GPS don't always work, so much construction
- wbrown62ExplorerCity of Lewisville's Lake Park on the west shore of Lake Lewisville. Its OK. Nothing special, but convenenient to lots of stuff. A little out of Dallas, though. Its also close to Hickory Creek COE as noted above. Hickory Creek has a very nice state park like feel. You feel isolated from the big city but are somewhat close to NW Dallas area as well as Denton and Lewisville.
