If the plug is a common telephone plug with a 4-lead wire (very common for this type of thing) then you use standard Telephone extensions.. You do not need a "Special" cord. (well you do but that's the one that is too short)
Here is why
Phone cords are designed so that if you plug in direct pin 1 is.. Well pin 1, (likewise 2-3 and 4) and if you add an extension or two with a dual female adapter 1 is still 1 all the way to the phone,.
But the DATA cable for inverters may flip.. That is pin one on one end hooks to pin 4 on the other.. BUT you only need one such cable.. after that standard phone extensions work
So I'd get a standard phone cord and a double female (cable joiner) and extend it and see if it works. Should just fine.. NOTE there is a limit to how far you can extend but I strongly suspect you'd need to wrap around your RV a few times to get there.
