Shurflo Water Pump Repair
My water pump gave up the ghost last weekend when I made a quick run to the coast. Motor was trying to turn but couldn't. It just hummed and sucked amps.
I went online and started looking for a new one. Saw several reviews of people saying the new ones don't last like the old ones did, so I decided to see if I could fix the one I have, which was manufactured in January 1987. Turned out to be a seized bearing in the diaphragm assembly, which was fairly easily replaced with a new bearing found at a local bearing supply shop for $6.75.
I made a video of the process for anyone who might be interested.
