I was reading another thread about a person blowing slide out fuses. Not wanting to hijack it, I have another power issue.I was thinking that I have never seen a fuse for my slide on my 2011 Wildwood. I checked to see if there was a fuse at the battery - nope. Checked for a fuse at the slide motor - nope. Followed the blue and white wire from the motor and it goes to the power panel located in the kitchen. Nothing but 15 amp fuses and two 40 amp fuses. I pulled them all and the slide still works.I pulled the power panel and found the blue and white wires connected to a black and white set that seems to come from the power panel. It's hard to see exactly where the wires are connected as the panel will only come part way out of the cabinet.Is it possible that there is no fuse for the slide? Seems dangerous.

The 15A fuses are for individual DC circuits.....lights, fridge, water pump, water heater and the 40A fuses are 'reverse polarity' fuses. They protect converter from batteries being installed backwards.Slide out (tongue jack, landing gear, stabilizers) are wired directly from battery and have in-line protection either from Fuse (in a holder) or via a DC Circuit Breaker (auto or manual resetting).Trace wiring from battery......

I had a fuse in the circuit, but the dealer replaced it with an automatic reset circuit breaker. Mine is located in the battery/slide out compartment. It can be a pain trying to locate fuses for some systems. I blew a fuse on the front jacks and had to search quite awhile before I located it. I called the dealer and he gave me a list of possible locations for it.

OP here - update. I wrestled the power panel out of the cabinet and discovered that the blue/white wires are not connected to the power panel, but connect to a black/white pair that enters the wall bundled with all the other wires coming from the power panel. That means that the wall switch for the slide gets it's power from some other location. If it doesn't come from the battery and it doesn't come from the power panel then where?This also brings up the question, is there also a fuse for the power awning switch which is located right next to the slide switch?

That smells like intentional mischief to me. Very hard to believe that was the ONLY place they could put those breakers. Just as hard to believe it saved them any money. Actually seems like it would have cost MORE money to route the wiring through the kitchen.

I'm the kind of guy that never gives up until I solve a problem.

I went over every wire off the battery, main disconnect switch and junction box again. No joy there.

Went back to the power panel and checked all the wires again and then finally noticed that there was a second wire attached to the positive post on the panel. My feeble brain was thinking of this as input, not output. Followed that wire and discovered two 12v breakers located behind one of the kitchen drawers. One for the slide, 1 for the awning.

A Lippert electric slide has a 30amp fuse and it has its own pos wire to the battery so fused. No idea how yours is wired up but here is ours for comparison and maybe a clue where to be looking. (Good luck!)
(Note the front jacks have their own private 30a fuse)

OK, did some more searching this AM. Crawled under the trailer and found a junction box. Opened it up and lo and behold a 30amp fuse. Pulled the fuse and checked, and the D#$% thing still works. This is with shore power disconnected, battery disconnected from coach with switch. All fuses in panel removed.

Two issues now - where does the slide get it's power from (has to be direct from battery somehow) and what the heck is that other 30amp fuse for? The only other thing that might draw 30 amps is the tongue jack and that is wired direct to the battery.

I think I'll try Mex's suggestion next.

You should have a circuit breaker or fuse close to the battery on the positive (+) phase. If not, you should install one.

Do it Chinese reverse way. Disconnect battery, unplug shore power. Connect adequate wires with adequate power* to wires at motor. Take test light and see what lights yp and what doesn't.

Jumper cables plus a HD test lead pair work great for this...
