Small opening for slider

I have a Teardrop opening that I want to install a cooler that is 25"w by 16"d by 16" tall. The space is only 17.25"tall. Is there a slider or slider tray that is of low enough profile to accommodate this?
  • the question is
how deep is the space, and how wide

you mount the slides to sides if the compartment
angle brackets on the inside of the slides "L" shape the platform sets on the inside of the 'L' angle allowing full height minus the thickness of the platform and support angle
some can be flat mounted to floor, but the are stronger mounted on edge

what does the cooler weigh fully loaded with ice and goodies ?
  • I've checked and can't find a slider with 3/8 thickness, can u post a link?
  • I agree that making one would be the ticket- either undermount or side mount slides would work, full extension would be best. Just build a platform for the cooler.
  • If you look at a woodworking place like Rockler.com you can find undermount slides for drawers that can support 100 lbs and are only about 3/8" thick. You would need to fabricate your own shelf but it should be doable.
  • is there also a lip the slider has to clear? since I doubt you will find a suitable standard mount with ball bearings, track, etc. I would suggest you look in a bass pro shops catalog for silicone plates designed for boat support trailer beams and slide it on those.
