heard on Jeopardy the other night they are making solar panels now with tin rather than lead. is this going to bring down the cost and or be more effective. Any one heard any thing?
Cells are not a resource-heavy item. Cheaper manufacturing process will hardly change anything either, with $2/hr labor costs.
Aluminum frame material probably costs more than the cells, and will only be getting more expensive with time if this world keeps on going where it's been going so far.
